2D Work
Exercise 1: Tennis Ball Duration: 3 seconds Completed: April 2016 Premise: Utilizing several fundamental animation principles, I attempted to capture a believable bouncing tennis ball.
Exercise 2: Bowling Ball Duration: 3 seconds Completed: April 2016 Premise: Building upon the foundations learned through exercise 1, I attempted to showcase the bounce of a more weighted bowling ball.
Exercise 3: Waving Flag Duration: 4 seconds Completed: April 2016 Premise: A more challenging shot, I explore the principle of overlapping action and follow-through as seen in a flag waving in the breeze.
Exercise 4: Bean Sack Duration: 7 seconds Completed: May 2016 Premise: I animated this shot to explore the challenges of pantomime acting. In this exercise, a stranded bean sack searches for relief in a harsh desert climate.
Exercise 5: Side Step Duration: 3 seconds Completed: May 2016 Premise: In preparation of a walk cycle, I animated this shot to further my understanding of pantomime acting. In fear of being stepped on, in this shot, a frog takes a panicked side step.
Exercise 6: Taking the fall Duration: 10 seconds Completed: May 2016 Premise: This was the final assignment in my foundation animation course at SCAD. In this shot, I put together all twelve principles of animation by having a celebrated pilot take an embarrassing stumble.
Kitchen Kommand Duration: 1 minute and 11 seconds Completed: May 2016 Premise: An 8-bit arcade game concept, I limited myself to simple animation, in order to focus on color, composition and movement within a musically-driven animation.
